FutureBook Conference 2014

As it happened, I was lucky enough to visit two publishing conferences in less than a week. Whereas the attendance of the SYP conference last Saturday was purely my own pleasure (read all about it here), my FutureBook experience was part of a two week internship with the Bookseller's marketing team. There was no better way of finishing that amazing internship than with being part of the FutureBook Conference and gaining some insights behind the scenes.

SYP Conference 2014

Last Saturday, I attended my very first conference, the annual conference of the Society of Young Publishers, in London. Basically, there was everything a soon-to-be publisher's heart desires: Inspiring talks, amazing people, food and free books.

It's that time of a year again...

When the whole (European) book market is looking on Frankfurt, it most certainly is time for the Frankfurt Book Fair. All important people in the business are invited to contribute to exciting discussions and to share their views on recent developments and phenomenons. Important new publications are displayed and significant contracts are made.
